How to deal with stress on daily basis.

How to deal with stress on daily basis.

Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body’s reaction to a challenge or demand. In short bursts, stress can be positive, such as when it helps you avoid danger or meet a deadline.

Stress management will help you get through your daily activities without frustration at the end of the day, get more works done without negative emotions and also improve your happiness.

In a world filled with daily activities that gets harder as the day goes by, managing and dealing with stress on a daily basis is a skill that needs to be developed and harnessed.

• Get enough sleep. • Take deep breaths. • Daily exercise. • Limit alcohol intake

1. Get enough sleep:

7-8 hours of sleep Daily is the recommended hours for daily dose of sleeping, meeting up with this number usually seems unrealistic as many many people have difficulties in sleep.

Make up your mind to set out a particular time to go to sleep, 9pm-5am is the ideal time to get a good quality sleep, Sleeping and getting up at a particular time regularly is a good habit and also good for overall well-being.

Sleep plays important role in repairing the heart and blood vessels, improving your cognitive ability, improves focus the next day and reduce Cortisol, which is known as the stress hormone.

2. Take deep breaths:

Ability to breathe is free gift of nature yet, many of us still struggle with breathing the proper way.

Newly born babies are the pros in proper breathing as they take in the oxygen with full expansion of their diaphragm, and breath out with their stomach leveling down.

The best starts in the nose and then moves to the stomach as your diaphragm contracts, the belly expands and your lungs fill with air. “It is the most efficient way to breathe, as it pulls down on the lungs, creating negative pressure in the chest, resulting in air flowing into your lungs.”

3. Daily Exercise:

Working out daily will sweat all the negative emotions from your body away.

There are many types of physical activity, including swimming, running, jogging, walking, and dancing, to name a few.

Being active has been shown to have many health benefits, both physically and mentally. It will help you live longer and look younger as you age.

Walking a mile a day is a great way to relieve stress and free your mind, this exercise when done regularly improves the heart condition.

4. Limit alcohol intake:

Too much of every thing is bad, abstaining from alcohol is a difficult but beneficial task to carry out.

Waking up from hangover is a  distressful feeling that brings back negative emotions which trigger cortisol levels inside the body and increases stress.

Engage in happy activities, do the things you love and have passion for, you will not regret it.
